New blog? Or continue this One?
I feel like starting brand new and fresh. School just started, I've mentally changed a bit over the summer, and I'm a little tired of the over abundance of pink on this blog. Should I just completely remodel this blog or start from scratch? Personally, I want to start from scratch, but I'd definitely like some opinions before I do :) Comment please. I might get tired of waiting. Actually I'm tired of waiting and I haven't even posted this yet. i think I'll just start a new one now, and delete it if necassary. PLEASE COMMENT, EVEN IF I DON'T KNOW YOU. I'll love you forever. And if you'd rather, i won't love you forever. Take a pick. xD
Busiest Summer of My LIfe
This has got to be the busiest summer I've had in my entire life. I'm actually really disappointed I didn't get to post AT ALL this summer, especially because that's when I have the biggest audience and the most views. I'm pretty sure I've lost alot of people, but hopefully Ill be able to gain some back over time. Literally everyday this summer I was busy doing something, ranging from sitting here doing AP homework to hanging out at the beach. honestly it hasn't been the best summer, but it was very productive and I did have some good times. I must say, it was definitely was the most painful summer I've had. First there was the wisdom teeth surgery, then of course the mentally painful AP work, and then there was the three week long marching band camp I attended. After the busiest summer of my life, unfortunately I've started what is looking like the busiest school year of my life. It never stops does it? It is alot of fun, but requires hard work and time management. Hopefully I'll find the time to post regularly again. Please help me get viewers back and spread the word :) Thanks! My apologies for the lack of postage this summer.

Awesome Sleepover
I hadn't seen my bestie in months until last night! We seriously had to catch up. We talked about a ton and had a great time! I missed her to death. I felt Megan deprived. Anyways, it's all good now though! Hoping to have some more good times like that alot this summer. My overall favorite quote from last night:
"Behind these flying toasters are some of the deepest conversations you'll ever see in your entire life."
I LOVE YOU MEGAN!!!!

North Carolina Aquarium
This week my family and I went to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island. It was pretty good sized and had many different species of fish. My favorite part of the aquarium was the touch tank. There were different types of stingrays, horseshoe crabs, and small sharks inside for the public to pet. There was one stingray in particular that kept coming up to me and rubbing his slimy body against my hand. Most of the little sharks stayed away from the people and near some rocks, but there were a couple that swam around the edge of the tank so people could pet them. My second favorite part of the aquarium was the shark tank. This tank had large, dangerous sharks with razor sharp teeth and powerful jaws. Some were cute, but others were frightening and inimidating. I tried to take a picture of one shark and he started coming a me with his mouth open! No matter how evil the sharks were however, the trip to the aquarium was pretty awesome and I reccomend you go there!
My Beachy Paradise
As I said in the post before this one, I'm at OBX. At least once a day since Saturday I've gone to the beach. Recenty I've realized that this might be my most favorite place I've ever been to. When you sit on the soft sand of the relaxing beach, you'll see graceful dolphins surfing on the waves created by speed boats plowing through the water. When you look up into the air, you'll see not a cloud in the sky. Pelicans and sea birds fly over your head in lines and formations as if they're all syncronized. Vacationers fly colorful kites over the sand and the sea. Families spread out across the wide, open beach, so it's as if you're the only one there. Small crabs and other ocean creatures accompany you during your visit. At night, the shining moon rises over the ocean, its light being reflected off the dark blue waters. Stars sparkle and shine throughout every inch ofthe sky. Every now and then, a nice breeze sweeps across your face. The sand is soft and cool like powder spread across the beach. I adore the beaches of North Carolina with all my heart :)
Catching Up
Wow.....it's been a month since I've posted......that just shows how busy I've been since school let out! I guesswe've got some catching up to do. Let's go back to when school first let out. Last day was great, but extremely sad. Before the last bell rang in my middle school life we all cried and hugged each other. Alot of us are going to be seperated next year because we're going to different schools. The day ended up being fatastic anyways because later on that day my friends ad I went to KD. The following week my grandma from Texas came. She stayed with us until that Thursday. It was really fun having her over, and there were alot of funny moments we all had! After she left on Thursday, I had marching band practice. I love those people there so much!!! I'm looking forward to a great year with them all. That Friday, my family and I headed up to West Virginia. The weather was beautiful. The hummingbirds were flying around that patio and there were plants full of vegetables and flowers everywhere. One day in West Virginia, my grandpa took my brother, dad, and I down to the jail. Don't think wrongly of that, it was just to show us around, I promise! Anyways, he showed us how things work around the jail and he locked me in a cell. Alone. It was terrible fr the short 5 minutes I was in there! I don't understand how smeone could do that for years. I also got strapped in a restraint chair....next to another inmate. That was unbelievably awkward. The whole thing ended up being pretty fun and interesting though! After we got back from West Virginia,e all just took a little time to chill. On Tuesday I went downtown with Craig and went to band practice. It was a great day! Lots of fun, heat wasn't too bad, got to see my band peeples. Thursday was the worst. That was the day I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out. It was pretty horrible. The surgery itself was easy with all the laughing gas and meds I was on, but after that, I think I had just about the worst week of my life. I was constantly falling asleep, I was always on medicine. I couldn'teat ANYTHING, or even open my mouth. My face was swollen as big as a basket ball. In the middle of the night, I would wake up with an incredible firey pain in my mouth. It just.....sucked. After recovering for about a week, Saturday, we left for where I am now! At the moment I'm at the Outer Banks of North Carolina (OBX)!!!! We've been chillaxin at the beach, hanging out at the dunes, shopping, mini golfing, we even went on a dolphin tour a couple days ago! I'll talk about what I've been doing this week in another post, but hopefully this helped us catch up a little bit :)

8th Grade Formal
Last night was the 8th Grade Formal! It was FANTASTIC! Everyone looked great. The people that decorated the cafeteria did an excellent job. I was actually expecting it to be kinda cheesy, but it really wasn't. I hung out with my basties the whole time. We danced, talked, and just had the best time ever. It was a bit awkward when the slow songs came on though, because Megan, Katherine and I were like the only people who weren't slow dancing with a guy. I didn't care though, all I need is mah buds :) Seeing some of the couples there was ADORABLE. Megan, Katherine, and I danced together anyways, and it was great. We took LOTS of pictures that I'll be sure to upload sometime soon. Megan and I asked the DJ to play Blackout, and everyone knew it was us because we sing that song so often! Katherine taught me how to dance a little more and better than I used to, haha. Thanks Katherine! After the dance, my music teacher invited me to go to Sweetfrog with her, Maggie, Olivia, and Cidalia. While we were there we ran into Gillian. It was a crazy spectacular night. I hope to have one like it again sometime.
Last Week
I had absolutely no time to post last week, so I'm just gonna try to sum up all of the wonderous happenings in one post. The Thursday before last, I forgot to mention that I helped Olivia and Cici find a dress for formal! They were gorgeous. When Cici wanted to go into Hollister, me and Olivia acted like we were dying the entire time we were in there. That weekend I went over to my bestie, Megan's house to have a sleepover. We had so much fun, and we got in some time to work on our performance for the talent show. I also went kayaking again at some point. Last week was extremely eventful for me! Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I rode the bus to Courtland after school for mini band camp. The first day wasn't so great, but the other two were! I really love those people. Everyone was really helpful and supportive of each other. Now I know I am most DEFINITELY doing marching band in highschool. Can't wait! Friday was supposed to be field day, but there were chances of storms, so talent show day and field day got switched. I was freaking out when I found out Thurday afternoon, because I wasn't prepared at all to sing in front of a crowd. It was on my bucket list however, so no backing out for me! I found a nice dress and some jewelry that night to wear the next day and I bought the instrumental version of Payphone by Maroon 5 on iTunes. The next morning Megan and I showed up in our dresses in the auditorium. We were third to perform. When we got on stage, my hands got a little shaky. When I'm nervous and I'm trying to hide it or appear confident, it all goes to my hands for whatever reason. Anyway, no one told us when they were starting the music so we didn't have the greatest start in the world. That was okay though, because throughout the rest of the song we had very little, if not noticable at all, errors. Megan and I made the song our own by adding various harmonies and parts to the song. I was shocked when we finished because we got an unbelievable amount of cheers and smiles. Everyone was complimenting us all day about our performance. You guys really boosted my self esteem that day, I'd just like to thank you all for that! I have the most supportive friends anyone could wish for. I'd also like to thank my bestie that sang with me, you were UHMAYZUHNN GURRRLLL!!! Everyone that participated in the show on Friday was great! I luff all of you :) Amazing week, right?

Uhmayzuhnn Thursday
This was like..the best Thursday of the school year. It felt so much like a Friday!!! Today was the last day we dress out in PE. SO HAPPY. In math all we did was make tessalations. It's a bit challenging trying to make a shape, but after I figured out how to make a dove everything was eeeeaaaasssyyyy. After that was band, which is always a load of fun. We literally did nothing in there, with the exception of getting our instruments out to play for a couple minutes. I also got my Solo and Ensemble medals. Science was the best. We competed to see who could build the tallest marshmallow tower. Megan and I were partners. We didn't win, but we had the coolest and the best-built tower! At first it looked like the Empire State building, but we took the top sticks off and for fun twisted it to mak it look like DNA. Our tower was the most popular. WOOTWOOT. I luff mushmallowz.

Ello, Mr. Snakey
I was in my basement messing with that slide show I just put up, and all of a sudden my mom comes running down stairs freaking out. "YOUR DAD IS OUTSIDE PLAYING WITH A SNAKE." Ummm......well now, that's different. Went upstairs, opened the front door, and there I see him in the middle of the yard next to his lawnmower with a stick in his hand, snake hanging from the end of it. I was a bit confused, but at the same time concerned. I'm definitely not wearing flipflops out in the yard anymore....*shivers*. Apparently when my dad was mowing the lawn, some birds swooped down and started to peck the snake, so my dad saved him. Well we wanted to know what the thing was and whether he was poisonous or not, so we did our research for about an hour, and I found out he was a Northern Brown Snake. Completely harmless and not aggressive. We put him in a box so he could move around and so we could look at him a little longer. My mom HATED him with a passion. Even if it's adorable and harmless like the one we found, she doesn't care. "The only good snake is a dead one," she says CONSTANTLY. I petted him and he was extremely smooth. My brother tried to feed him a worm, but he wasn't hungry. Not too long ago we decided he needed to go back to freedom, so we took him outside and released him into the forest. Cute little fellow, isn't he?
New Slideshow
Remember when Slide failed and took off my slideshow? Well, yeah, it did, and I didn't have a slideshow at the top of my page anymore. I replaced the blank boring space with nyan cat, but I found a new slideshow website I can use! There's a website called Picasa where I can upload photos and put it in a slideshow on here. You'll find it if you scroll to the end of my posts on this page. Until I figure out how useful it is and whether or not you people will like it, it will stay down there. If I get some good feedback about it, I'll move it up above all of my posts where it used to be.
Kayaking Trip
Sunday. the day after we bought them, we went kayaking. We asked one of my mom's friends if we could go to her house to use them, and fortunately she said yes! We ended up going to Lake Anna, a really beautiful lake somewhat close by. My dad put both of the kayaks on top of the car, and I was overjoyed. I wasn't nervous like everyone else because I've been canoeing before. It's sort of alike. When we got there, I put on my Intimidator 305 hat, some sunscreen, and claimed a boat first. We only bought two kayaks for a family of four, so we all took turns going out into the lake. It was easier than I thought to get in. I was expecting it to be super uncomfortable, but it felt just fine! Paddling was really easy too. The rest of my family had to get the hang of it to be able to steer themselves properly, but I was pretty good from the start. Kayaking can be hardcore, or pretty relaxing. I raced all of my family members to the shore a few times, and I won each time. It was also really nice to just sit in the middle of the lake a chill. The waves and the view was really relaxing. I hope to go back really soon, because I think kayaking might be one of my new favorite things to do.
Unexpected Purchase
So this weeked, we bought something I never would've thought we'd get. On Saturday, my family and I went to Outback for dinner. GREAT PLACE TO EAT, juss sayin'. Anyways, afterwards for no apparent reason, my Dad wanted to go to Gander Mountain., so we did. If you don't know for some odd reason, it's a big sports store. We found out he actually wanted to go so he could buy himself and expensive gun, but that's not what we ended up getting. We stayed in the store looking around for an unbearable amount of time (I hate sports, sports stores, etc(except baseball)) and we ended up leaving with two kayaks. PURE AMAZINGNESS.....and totally unexpected.
Cookout
Friday, my family and I went to my friend Matthew's house for a cookout. Our family is really good friends with his. We had a great time! We had hot dogs, then me, my brother, Matthew, and his brothers went inside to play the wii. The adults went outside to play poker (my momma won). We stayed over til about midnight, and Saturday was Matthew's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW! But yeah, anywaysss, we all had a great time. I got him a music book with song from movies, and a ton of gum. Cookouts. Are. UHMAYZUHNN.
The Show
The show was absolutely amazing. The eighth grade was up there the longest. We were up there for so long, the concert lasted 30 minutes past the time it was supposed to be over. We played 8 songs that sounded completely flawless. We've put alot of work and effort into band and our music! The band ninjas made awesome poses on the stage in the middle of the concert and Mrs. Steckler loved it. I was teary eyed while playing our last song, Party Rock Anthem, because it my last middle school band concert. The eighth grade band has really bonded together over the years. It's like my second family. When the concert was over and everyone was in the band room putting their instruments away, many of us cried. We love each other so much, and the concert was absolutely amazing! WOOWOOT for the SMS Band :)

Ay. Ayo. Ay, Yo Dawg.
Tomorrow night is the amazingly awesome Spring Band concert! We're playing a grand total of 7 pieces, with a ton of hard work put behind them. This'll be my last middle school concert, so come support my band at Spotsy at 7:00 pm. You're most definitely welcome to bring friends! I have a really good feeling you will know a few of the pieces. I'm more excited than ever. I just love playing the baritone, and now the band is like my second family. We've all grown so close over the years, it's gonna hurt next year when we all have to be seperated because of the different high schools we have to go to. Well guys, don't stress, don't worry, and have fun, because tomorrow's show is for the eighth graders to shine!

Band Party
Friday after school, the 8th grade had a band party. It wasn't the best in the world, but it was still pretty fun. I loved prank calling people and playing frisbee with Katherine! I scared off a few with my signature death throw. That'll fix em :) When we went in, everyone ate the cookies my mom made. Seriously. you people are OBSESSED. I only got one!!! Well anyways, then we went in the gym and kinda ust did whatever. We pretty much just hung out, but at one point me and olivia dared Koz to "propose" to Ben. It was really funny. Ben looked into his eyes and everything!!! Just about made my day. But WAIT- it gets better. After that, Koz walked around the gym like a stripper girl. Thatmade the whole freaking week! I have a challenge for you guys! Megan and I got through an HOUR STRAIGHT of this, how long can you last? You aren't allowed to stop watching, even for a fraction of a second. If you have to go to the bathroom, take your iPhone with you. If all fails, just turn the volume up loud enough so you can hear it. Comment on the Nyan Cat post and tell me how long you lasted!
