Uhmayzuhnn Thursday

This was like..the best Thursday of the school year. It felt so much like a Friday!!! Today was the last day we dress out in PE. SO HAPPY. In math all we did was make tessalations. It's a bit challenging trying to make a shape, but after I figured out how to make a dove everything was eeeeaaaasssyyyy. After that was band, which is always a load of fun. We literally did nothing in there, with the exception of getting our instruments out to play for a couple minutes. I also got my Solo and Ensemble medals. Science was the best. We competed to see who could build the tallest marshmallow tower. Megan and I were partners. We didn't win, but we had the coolest and the best-built tower! At first it looked like the Empire State building, but we took the top sticks off and for fun twisted it to mak it look like DNA. Our tower was the most popular. WOOTWOOT. I luff mushmallowz.

The Show

The show was absolutely amazing. The eighth grade was up there the longest. We were up there for so long, the concert lasted 30 minutes past the time it was supposed to be over. We played 8 songs that sounded completely flawless. We've put alot of work and effort into band and our music! The band ninjas made awesome poses on the stage in the middle of the concert and Mrs. Steckler loved it. I was teary eyed while playing our last song, Party Rock Anthem, because it my last middle school band concert. The eighth grade band has really bonded together over the years. It's like my second family. When the concert was over and everyone was in the band room putting their instruments away, many of us cried. We love each other so much, and the concert was absolutely amazing! WOOWOOT for the SMS Band :)

Sickness

I have been sitting at home since Thursday. I've missed three days of school and my mom is going to pick up my makeup work later today. I'm scared! I'm going to be buried in work! I'm also going to have to make up the PE tests I missed tomorrow. Push ups are not my thing -__________-. I haven't texted most of you very much or at all because for most of the time I've been home, I've been sleeping or glued to the TV. Everytime I took my medicine for the sore throat I've had, I'd fall asleep immediately. My throat still hurts a little bit. Now I'm coughing a little and I still feel icky. My plan was actually to go to school today, but I woke up feeling horrible. I'm going to school FOR SURE tomorrow. It's a day I definitely cannot miss. Solo and Ensemble is tomorrow! I performing in a duet as well as a trio. I'm really hoping I'll have time to practice with my people tomorrow because there are still a few places in the music I think need to be clarified or touched up a bit. Last year I wan't nervous, but this time I am for some reason! It's probably just because I haven't gotten to lay with my groups much and I'm a bit scare my sickness is gonna cause problems for me tomorrow. The pieces we picked are rather challenging too. Wish me luck! I'm hoping to keep my Superior streak going. Surely I'll get over this sickness completely by tomorrow...maybe?

We Need A Bunny Suit. Pronto.

I'm not even joking, the NJHS fundraising committee needs a bunny suit for a fundraiser we're planning. It's quite urgent, so if you have one or know where we can buy or rent one, PLEASE let me know. We can't get anything incredibly expensive, so we prefer the lower prices. Don't hesitate, email me or comment some info if you have one or know where I can get one. We need it SOON. Project, School, Studying, Bleh.

I hate projects soooo bad!! I would just like to thank Gillian and Leah for giving me the hardest slide of the project -.- Goodness gracious. Well I have this stupid project in world history, where I have to tell about a Greek god or goddess or hero. Gllian, Leah, and I picked Apollo. I've been having trouble finding some achievements of him, but now I've got a few. Now I'm taking a break to get a snack and post on here. After I'm through with this, I have to study for a really big science test that I'm gonna have to take tomorrow. Wish me luck! Everyone I've talked to has said it was easy, so I shouldn't have too much to worry about. Then again, the people I've talked to are also good at studying... gaaah. I hate studying, and I'm not very good at it either. Reading in the science textbook is also really boring, but unfortunately there's a few things in there that I need tp brush up on. Blah, I wish I could sleep instead. I am freaking TIRED!!! I stayed up until... well.... Dark:30 last night finishing up a Christmas present I gave someone today. My head really hurts too :/ Oh and I forgot to mention that earlier I had to give my broken Euphonium a bath. -_____________- I hope I can get all of my stuff done quickly, and without a probem.

Stress Free Zone

Somehow, I have managed to enter the stressss freee zoneeeee. No issues, barely any work; I'm just..... fine! I'm kinda suprised about that after such a tough week. Instead of taking hours to do my science project, it only took me an hour this time! WOOTWOOT. Oh, and be sure to go to gaschoolstore.com to help me raise money and win best prizes. Make Up Work

Make up work is unbelievably annoying. Especially when you don't understand it. Fortunately I just finished it though due to the help of my kind father :) Measurements suck. Decimals are confusing. But oh well, I've got dis yo ;D

Great B Day.

For once I actually like both my a days AND my b days. I have good classes on both, and I'm CONSTANTLY with my buddies. Band seemed like it lasted FOREVERRRRRRR though. My mouth still hurts from playing so much. It's alot harder to play higher notes with braces, but I still got it :) I hope I can make all county again this year, because this year it's being held at MY school!!! WOOTWOOT. I finally understand my math now. I just had to ask a bajillion questions to make that possible. PE was fun. I liked running to one of my favorite songs, "Moves Like Jagger" :D!!! And last but not least, science. I love the conversations we had in there today. But to sum it all up, AMAZING B DAY.

English

So in English, we had to write a journal topic. It had something to do with, "You wake up on a Saturday morning, and your mom and grandma tell you that today you are going to help them clean the family room. After about 30 minutes of cleaning, behind the file cabinet in the left corner you find...". I asked the Mrs. Amos if it had to be realistic, but she didn't answer. So I hope she's okay with me finding a colorful bouncy ball that takes you back in time.

Back in Va

I had a spleeeeeendid time in West Virginia. There was a nice fireworks show last night for the Oak Leaf festival. I also went shopping at the Mall in Beckley with my mom and grandma. Sadly I had to return home from my short vacation :(. School's tomorrow, I just got finished wi th my homework. Time to clean my room and straighten my hairrrrr!

Happy September!

New month. August seemed really short..... or is it just me? I wish it was still summer. I don't like working.... and just the fact that I'm being assigned 3 projects at once makes it totally worse. It's all for one class too! GRRR! Why Mrs Whipkey? We can't just slowly do one at a time? Stresssss. AND it's only the first week of school -.- Here comes the worrying.

New School Year

I have a feeling 8th Grade is going to be amazing. I got in classes with a ton of my friends! My teachers are really nice too. Tomorrow, I get to start my first FULL week of school. We went for two days last week, for those of you that live somewhere else. I'm pretty siked for tomorrow, it's a B daaaaay! I used to hate B days. Now I love em! See you guys tomorrow.

Dreading... dreading....

I'm not trying to seem negative or anything, but I've been dreading a lot of things lately. Braces are coming Wednesday, I'm definitely dreading that. School is coming. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have Governor School projects to do. I'm not really looking forward to that. And then there's Monday. Schedule day. I'm as nervous as heck!!! I MUST get in classes with my friends! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH <3 If for whatever reason we don't get classes next year, stop by my locker every now and then, kay?

SMS Spirit!

I helped sell spirit wear at SMS today! I had alot of fun. The 6th Graders didn't look as scared as they did last year. My principal and councelor asked me to decorate a white board so it would look nice for the newbies. I made it prettyful! I'm not feeling as down about starting school anymore. I have a feeling 8th Grade is gonna be a gooood year.

Last day of July?!?!?!?!?!!?

OMG!!!!! I just realized it's the last day of July!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I'll do anything not to go back to school! August 24, you better stay back.... or else. This has been the best summer ever! We still have time. I'm gonna live it up until August 24. Don't take this the wrong way, I definitely want to see you guys, I'd just rather it be out of school.
